The Steigerwald treetop walk is located near Ebrach in the district of Bamberg in the heart of nature. Hike along the 1,150 m long wooden path through all levels of the forest up to the 42 m high viewing tower. From there, enjoy the marvellous panorama over the trees and the Steigerwald Nature Park.
Around 650 metres of the trail run along the observation tower with a maximum gradient of 6%. Experience the forest from a new perspective during the ascent from 26m to 42m. Several information boards provide an insight into the processes of the forest ecosystem.
After the hike, the restaurant on the treetop walk offers snacks and drinks for refreshment. If you like, you can take a few little mementos of an exciting day with you from the store.

Well worth a visit, adult tickets are 11.50, card payment online or at the ticket machine only. Very well organized, bring coins to feed the animals

Beautiful place to go with the family, specially with kids. Considering that we only went to look around and walk up the tower, the ticket was quite expensive in my opinion (9€). The animals they have (deers and goats) seemed to me a bit sad. Overall, the views from the tower are very nice, and walking across the path was awesome, the infrastructures were beautifully planned.

We spent a great day here and enjoyed the beautiful views. Our kids liked the playground and the children zoo. All areas are accessible with stroller. Only drawback is the high ticket price of 10€ for a adult.

An impressive all around view at this Treetop path with a circular tower at 42m. It is wheelchair and baby stroller friendly. Deer feed:1€ per pack, you can provide them some sustenance through a long tube. I could see many young kids with doe-eyed eyes and hopeful faces pleading their parents to get some. Parents with indulgent sighs, are always happy to oblige. However, I am thankful that my offspring is a strapping 18 year old now, my thoughts were "Been there, Done that, I don't have to get any deer feed anymore🤣. This is indeed a wonderful and educational place to appreciate wildlife, the ever-giving generous forests and spending time with love ones in the beautiful nature. Take your time, you might just catch some of the elusive birds 🪶🪶 or if you can identify certain animal's hooves.

Today we decided to visit this place. At first I was skeptical because of the height but once you get to the top you can see miles and miles of beautiful land. There is a small petting zoo, deer and also places to sit and let the kids play. Definitely recommend.
