Panarbora youth hostel, treetop walk and much more
The Panarbora nature adventure park near Waldbröl is located around 50 kilometres east of Cologne. In the foothills of the Bergisches Land region, you will find a treetop walk and many other attractions. The park was inaugurated in September 2015. The highlight is certainly the 40-metre-high observation tower with a diameter of up to 18 meters, which allows you to see far into the Rhineland. You have to walk 1,635m along the wooden paths until you reach the top.
In addition to numerous information boards with lots of interesting facts, there is a water and adventure playground, the nature experience academy, a hedge maze and the sensory trail. There are the following six stations on the treetop walk, which invite you to play and learn:
- From primeval forest to commercial forest
- The tree is dead – long live the tree
- The forest never sleeps!
- Living from the forest
- Caution – cane rash!
- Change in the landscape
As the nature adventure park also has a youth hostel, there are exciting overnight accommodation options. Have you ever slept in a tree house? This is also possible at Panarbora Nature Adventure Park!
After your strenuous adventures, you can refresh and recharge your batteries in the catering facilities. All facilities are barrier-free with a maximum gradient of 6%.

The park is open all year round. The last ascent to the tower and the treetop walk is 45 minutes before closing time.
