Climbing on Lake Constance at AbenteuerPark Immenstaad

Nestled in nature near the sports facilities of Immenstaad on Lake Constance, just a few kilometers west of Friedrichshafen, AbenteuerPark Immenstaad awaits you. It was the first climbing park of its kind in Germany in 2003. With 11 diverse courses up to 15 meters high, it offers the greatest variety for families, teenagers, and adults who want to experience the forest from a new perspective.

From Kids’ Courses to the Partner Course at 15 meters

The courses are staggered by age and difficulty, from beginner routes to pro level: Courses 1–3 start from age 6, with increasing challenges leading up to the most demanding routes for ages 16 and up. A special highlight is the Partner Course (from age 12), where obstacles can only be mastered as a duo – perfect for building trust and teamwork. For the youngest adventurers, there are two Kids’ Courses from age 3, where the accompanying person can join for free.

For young adventurers, there’s also the treasure hunt with “Captain Jones” (7–15 years), which can be combined with the courses. The park is also suitable for school classes, clubs, children’s birthday parties, as well as company and team events. On-site, you’ll find catering for refreshments, paid parking, and bicycle racks; the park is also easily accessible by bus and train via Immenstaad. Tickets can be conveniently booked online, and larger groups can book outside regular hours upon request.

The adventure park is located somewhat inconspicuously behind a hedge in the forest. The focus is on secured climbing in several courses with different levels of difficulty. We were there with #Bigfoot and #Littlefeet on a beautiful April day. We parked the car further below the adventure park to avoid parking fees. The service was great: first you get your helmet after paying (birthday children get a golden one), then your harness (which you have to tighten again and again in between because it gradually loosens a bit due to the climbing. You can have your valuables locked up at the cash desk. The prices are ok. In addition to the equipment, this also includes a video briefing and support from the Rothelme, who check and monitor the courses. We climbed green twice and yellow once and had a total of three hours. Especially with children and adults who rarely climb, you should allow more time. The toilets were clean, as was the whole area, despite the large number of customersHere are a few impressions. I don't have any pictures or videos of the climbing itself because I wanted to concentrate on the climbing.Til;dr: this is a really great place for children aged 7-8 and up to climb. #Bigfoot and #Littlefeet were full of praise and would love to come back.Clothing: Jeans, sports shoes and a T-shirt are fine in good weather.

So impressed! This place is amazing. The engineering of the high ropes courses is so well thought out. We have nothing like this back home in Texas. The set up is pretty self explanatory after the initial instruction and each course is a different puzzle you get to go through completely on your own without a guide. We came with 3 adults, our 14-year-old and 8-year-old and all of us had a blast. The staff was attentive, personable and friendly. We enjoyed ice cream, snacks and beer from their little bistro after our climb! We were pleased to see the high ropes courses are well kept and maintained. My brother has a background in professional rock climbing and climbed these courses with us. We all felt safe with their sophisticated safety/harness system. We have been bicycling around the Bodensee for our vacation and this was one of our main highlights. We would come back to the Bodensee just to visit this Abenteuerpark again!

Great adventure park. We were here from England and my kids needed some help - the staff were so patient and helpful with an interest in helping the kids (and adults!) progress. The courses are very easy to follow and with varying levels of difficulty. We had lots of fun. Safety is paramount and the provide English instruction video that explains how the ropes work brilliantly. They also check you can work with the ropes before they let you loose. Another small park/playground to the side for those who don’t want to do the adventure park and there is a cafe serving hot and cold drinks and snacks. Thank you for a fab few hours!
