The Treehouse Hotel Mönchberg “Wipfelglück” has been around since 2014, and the operators Daniela and Eva-Marie are still there for you with heart and soul. In 2020, a witch’s cottage was built first, and later another treehouse. This means there are now an impressive seven treehouses waiting for your visit.
Breakfast can be booked additionally upon request and will be delivered to your treehouse in the morning. You can also order various BBQ packages, homemade cakes, and drinks from the operators. This leaves plenty of time to enjoy your stay in nature.

Tree house no. 1 can also be used barrier-free thanks to access via a ramp. There is a parking lot on the Wipfelglück grounds. From there, the tree houses are approx. 100 m away. There are washbasins and toilets, but no showers, in the tree houses no. 3, no. 4, no. 5, no. 6 and no. 7.
It is possible to shower year-round at the local Hotel Schmitt. Showers are available Monday to Saturday (Sunday is a day of rest) between 3:00 PM and 5:30 PM. During the summer months (May-September), if the weather is good for outdoor swimming, you have the option to visit the Mönchberg Spessartbad (approx. a 10-minute walk below Wipfelglück). For stays of 2 nights or more, the operators invite guests from treehouses without showers to receive 2 free tickets per treehouse!

We spent a few days at the treehouse hotel and were looking forward to a unique nature experience. The concept is really lovely, and we especially appreciated the peaceful location. We'd like to highlight the skylight – at night, the stargazing was wonderful and definitely a highlight of our stay.However, we also feel the price-performance ratio is inadequate. It's important to understand that for the same price, you could check into a spa hotel including breakfast, and you're only paying so much because it's a "treehouse." What you get is a very small room on wooden stilts in the woods with the most basic, low-budget amenities (no shower, no kitchen, uncomfortable, thin mattresses, and you can only wash your dishes with cold water in the small bathroom sink).But the biggest disappointment was the surrounding area. We expected significantly more hiking trails accessible from the treehouse. Instead, apart from one panoramic trail, you have to drive almost everywhere. And in our opinion, the surrounding area doesn't have much else to offer. It's best to check the activity recommendations on the website beforehand, as you'll see that some places require a 45-minute drive. For people who usually live in a very urban environment and are simply looking for absolute peace and quiet, the concept might be interesting, but for us, it's definitely not something we would book again.

The price is unjustified. It was a nice experience, but communication is only possible by phone or through the cleaning staff, if you happen to catch them. In the accessible treehouse, there isn't even a shelf in the bathroom for shampoo and shower gel.We sent back a brown, squashed banana 🍌. Two days later, it was back at breakfast. The food is okay, but again, the price isn't right.

Even the communication during the booking process was very friendly, and we immediately felt welcome.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the very cozy and lovingly furnished treehouse. It's a wonderful place to recharge and relax; hiking, cycling, and swimming are all possible in the immediate vicinity. The food packages delivered directly to the treehouse are delicious, plentiful, and beautifully presented. The lack of a shower wasn't a problem for us, as we received a free pass for the nearby outdoor swimming pool. Thank you so much for this lovely place!

Meines Erachtens passt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis einfach nicht. Ich finde die Nacht dürfte gute 50,00€ günstiger sein.
