Treehouses in the Adventure Forest

The Solling Treehouse Hotel has been located in the Solling-Vogler Nature Park in the heart of the Weserbergland since 2008. It was the first treehouse hotel in Lower Saxony and has now grown to ten houses, all of which are insulated and heated and can therefore be used all year round. When you arrive here, you park at the Solling adventure forest near Uslar and dive straight into a forest which, in addition to the treehouses, also has a 40-meter-high wooden tower, a natural swimming pond, a sun terrace and a playground.

The ten tree houses are very different: for two people, there is the tree room at a height of seven meters with a suspension bridge, the open space with a bed balcony, the Kobel around a copper beech or the round house with a tree growing through it. Families will find space for up to four people in the Burg family tree house with roof terrace or in the Sternengucker. All classic houses have a small (compost) toilet in the house; showers and other toilets are located on the grounds nearby. Bed linen, towels, kettle, coffee capsule machine and mineral water are standard in every house. Breakfast can be booked as an optional extra.

Dogs are welcome in most of the houses (10 euros per dog per day). Exceptions are the Tree Dream House, the Refugium, the Aurora House and the tree tents. Those looking for more adventure will also find tree tents on the grounds, which are suspended between trees at a height of approx. 1.5 meters above the forest floor. Take a look at the overview map of the site .

Comfort tree houses with private bathroom

For those who prefer their own bathroom in the house, the Baumhaushotel Solling offers two comfort houses. The Ahletal has had a shower and toilet since 2026 and can accommodate up to five people in five beds. The Aurora is the most luxurious house on offer: built with lots of wood and glass, it comes with a full bathroom, air conditioning, Wi-Fi and TV and sleeps up to three people. Both houses are particularly suitable for those who appreciate a little more comfort in the forest.

We stayed in the Kobel treehouse with a baby cot. It offered plenty of space and was incredibly cozy. It rained while we were there, but we were still able to sit on the terrace (the trees provided good protection from the rain). Breakfast was excellent, sourced mainly from local suppliers, and therefore offered great value for money. The grounds are also very nice; you can visit the adventure forest, sit in giant chairs, and there's a lovely playground for children. In the summer, you can also easily walk down to the swimming lake.

We stayed at your accommodation today and would like to emphasize that we really enjoyed the place itself. The rooms were clean, tidy, and generally appealing. We could have had a very positive experience.Unfortunately, this impression was significantly marred by the behavior of some of your staff. Throughout our stay, we felt very conspicuously and almost constantly watched. The glances didn't seem random or casual, but rather controlling and intrusive. This made us increasingly uncomfortable, as we didn't feel like welcome guests, but rather like people under observation. The situation at check-out was particularly disconcerting. Our check-out time was scheduled for 12:00 PM, and we left the accommodation at 11:40 AM, well within the agreed time. As we were about to return the key downstairs, a car suddenly followed us. The vehicle parked right next to us, and a staff member got out and watched very closely as we handed over the key. The impression was unavoidable that we were suspected of taking the key or behaving improperly. We found this behavior extremely unprofessional and not up to the standard one would expect from a welcoming establishment. What was particularly disconcerting was that there was no objective reason for this mistrust. Therefore, we unfortunately suspected that the treatment might be related to my husband's dark skin. If this played a role, it would be completely unacceptable. We expect all guests to be treated with respect, professionalism, and without discrimination.Furthermore, we would appreciate the freedom to relax without being followed or shadowed.
