There are more than 200 very special places to stay in the Turisede tree house hotel right on the border with Poland. There are treehouses in various sizes for 2 to 10 people. The old Turisede island spirits also make their respective treetop huts available to you. If you are afraid of heights, you can spend the night in Dragomir’s earth lair instead.
These unique overnight stays were also awarded the German Tourism Prize in 2006. There are places that are hard to put into words – the Kulturinsel Einsiedel is one of these magical places. To really understand them, you have to see and experience them with your own eyes.
Description of the tree house hotel Turisede
The Einsiedel cultural island with the Turisede tree house hotel is located in picturesque Upper Lusatia, very close to Görlitz and just a stone’s throw from the Polish border. What has been created here is a true paradise for young and old explorers – and will be for many years to come. It all started with a few wooden figures on the side of the road. Today, visitors can expect a breathtaking fantasy world created by talented wood artists. Creativity and imagination can be felt in every corner of this park – and anyone looking for straight lines or classic buildings will be disappointed. Here, every building, every bridge and every staircase is unique.
Further attractions of the Einsiedel cultural island
The Kulturinsel Einsiedel is a true land of adventure: crooked bridges lead through trees and over houses, kilometers of tunnels invite you to crawl or walk upright. An imposing castle, a ship and a fascinating labyrinth of paths make the hearts of adventurers beat faster. This park is a real playground for families – full of surprises and discoveries.
But the attractions are not all that the island of culture has to offer. Many animals live among the green trees, making the world of Turisede even livelier. Cows and goats graze on rooftops, peacocks strut through the trees and a donkey wakes you up in the morning with its loud braying. Squirrels flit through the branches and birds fill the air with their song. A place where you can not only experience adventure, but also enjoy nature in its most beautiful form.

We, a family of three with a 5-year-old child, had three wonderful days and two exciting nights in Turisede. We spent them at the "Fiona's Air Castle" treehouse hotel. This short break was simply fantastic. Thank you to the very friendly staff (Turisede team) for the delicious food and drinks and this beautifully designed adventure park. We can wholeheartedly recommend this experience.Best regards from the Laurisch family 🙂

We love this place and visit at least two or three times a year, and it never gets boring. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. The accommodations are charmingly designed, and the grounds invite you to be a child again. It's simply addictive.

This was my first time staying at the treehouse hotel and my first time on the grounds in general. We stayed in Gundiok's Shepherd's Cabin. It was equipped with everything you could possibly want in a treehouse. It didn't have a shower; for that, we would have had to dig deeper into our pockets and rent a larger treehouse. But for two nights, it was perfectly adequate, especially since there were shower containers nearby. The park itself now offers endless opportunities for playing, running around, climbing, and exploring. The expansion with the Turiuswinkel area on the Polish side creates even more possibilities. It's also not as crowded there.Since the beginning of July, there have even been border controls at the Zentendorf Neisse Bridge. However, no one really checked us, but it's absolutely essential to have your identification documents with you.We had booked breakfast as well. It truly left nothing to be desired and is highly recommended!
