Imagine this: You’re lying in your tree house, the morning sun is shining through a seven-metre-wide panoramic glass front and you wake up at six o’clock on the dot because the wolves are howling right outside your house. This is exactly what awaits you at the TreeInn tree house hotel in the Wolfcenter Dörverden in Lower Saxony. Since 2012, guests have been able to spend the night in tree houses built in the middle of the Wolfcenter. Each of the three houses is located in its own forest area with its own group of wolves as direct neighbors.
The three tree houses Crownview, Highfield and Pineside are identically equipped and are each located at a height of 5 meters with a furnished roof terrace. The furnishings are comfortable: underfloor heating, air conditioning, whirlpool, private bathroom with toilet, smart TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime, WiFi with 100 Mbit/s and a minibar. Alpaca hair bedding makes the accommodation allergy-friendly. Each house can accommodate up to three adults or two adults with two children. You will find the Wolfsrevier restaurant on the premises.
The entrance fee for the Wolfcenter is included in your booking, so you can explore the grounds with the various wolf packs, alpacas and other animals at your leisure. The Tree Inn is aimed at anyone looking for an overnight stay in the middle of nature without compromising on comfort.
Features Overview:
Overview of the treehouses
Crownview – Tree house
The Tree Inn’s first and oldest tree house was opened in April 2012 and can accommodate a maximum of 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. It is located in the deciduous forest, right next to the enclosure of the European gray wolves Finja and Milan. From the roof terrace you have an unobstructed view of the treetops and the wolf enclosure.
Highfield – Treehouse
The Highfield opened in September 2015 and is located in a coniferous forest. The pack of hand-reared Hudson Bay wolves Dala and Kimo live in front of the house, complemented by the European gray wolves Levi and Mitja and a group of alpacas. If you step out onto the terrace early in the morning, you have a good chance of hearing a real wolf concert.
Pineside – Tree house
The newest house was opened in November 2021 and is located in the pine forest. The hand-reared Canadian wolves Luna and Cosmo and a group of alpacas live directly in front of it. The Pineside is the only house that offers an unobstructed view of a sparse pine forest.

This is already a unique experience by itself, but because it is so close to a wolf sanctuary, it becomes a once in a lifetime (if you don't live in an area dense with them) - worth the money

Beautiful Place for people who love wolves.

Hello... We stayed at the Tree-Inn in Döverden for three days and were absolutely thrilled. The treehouses are ready from 3:00 PM, and you're picked up from the parking lot by very friendly staff in a Caddy. We arrived earlier, however, to visit the Wolf Center, which was very informative with beautiful exhibits. The only downside is that it's difficult for strollers or wheelchairs to get from the top to the bottom. The grounds are very well-maintained, and the treehouses are fantastic. Breakfast was included, and in the evenings, a delicious and generously filled picnic basket was left outside our door. This, however, is an extra charge. For three days with a picnic basket and dinner, it's not exactly cheap, but it's an experience you won't soon forget. Especially seeing the wolves up close... We'll definitely be back!

A truly unique experience. We received a wonderfully warm welcome and were able to join a guided tour of the park right away, which was both entertaining and very informative.Absolutely everything was perfectly organized! From the golf cart ride to the treehouse to the breakfast basket the next morning, everything was fantastic! The wolves were almost always visible from the treehouse and greeted us with a chorus of howls. A truly unique experience! We would love to come back again! 🫶🏻

If I could, I would stay longer...
The Tree Inn is a wonderful experience, especially if you love nature and animals (particularly wolves and alpacas). We chose the Tree Inn for our honeymoon and haven't regretted it for a second. The staff are very friendly, the service is excellent, and it's definitely worth booking again. The rooms are especially clean. I could write so much more, but I think you really have to experience it for yourself 🙂
