The Robins Nest tree house hotel is located near Witzenhausen, between Göttingen and Kassel, in the border triangle of Hesse, Lower Saxony and Thuringia. The tree house hotel offers nature lovers three real tree houses, a stilt house, a tree house ball, a small log cabin, three tree tents, two domes and a forest loft. Stairs and suspension bridges allow you to reach the tree nests at a height of around seven meters in the treetops.

The tallest of the three nests is the seven-meter high cork house. Paneling made of larch wood and fine cork makes this tree house special. The main house is built in a pentagonal shape. A birch trunk runs through the middle of the house, around which a double bed and two bunk beds are firmly integrated. You can only reach this tree house via two staircases and a suspension bridge.

The bright green tree house ball dangles between the sturdy trees. There isn’t much space inside, but from the double bed you can look directly into the treetops through the panoramic window. The birch house is the largest tree house and is located right at the edge of the forest with a view of the castle and a spacious terrace to enjoy.

The stilt house can accommodate eight people. Built in a chalet style, it offers a sensational view of the forest and nearby Berlepsch Castle through large panoramic windows. The stilt house has its own bathroom with toilet, washbasin and shower.

Facilities and comfort at the Robins Nest tree house hotel

Each tree house is designed according to its own motto and individually built from natural materials. The atmosphere is characterized by lots of wood – all the furniture comes from our own workshop. The furnishings are rustic and minimal. Wash bowls with water gallons, bed linen and towels are provided in the tree houses. The toilets are located behind the forest bar. Next door is a shower-washroom and the sauna trolley.

Restaurant Waldbar and culinary delights

An important part of Robins Nest is the Waldbar restaurant with its 100 square meter covered terrace, which is also used as a location for various events. A vegetarian breakfast buffet is offered every morning in the Waldbar. If you like, you can also take your breakfast into the tree house. During the day there are small snacks as well as coffee and cake, and in the evening either a delicious three-course menu or a buffet.

Wellness and special features

From November to February, a very special highlight awaits you: the sauna car with bio sauna, which offers a wonderful view of the green surroundings through its large windows.

Location and surroundings

Places of interest in the surrounding area include Berlepsch Castle just a few hundred meters away, the Friedland Museum and the greenhouse for tropical crops. The densely wooded surroundings are ideal for long walks. Free parking spaces are available.
