Märchenparadies Heidelberg is the children’s amusement park on the Königstuhl, high above Heidelberg’s Old Town. Between the trees, you’ll meet lovable fairy-tale characters—from Snow White to Zwerg Nase and Rumpelstiltskin, all the way to Baron Munchausen.
There’s lots to ride here: the popular park railway, the single-rail horse railway, the Witch Ride, or on the back of the Mountain Dragon. For the electric rides, you’ll need 50-cent tokens, available at the ticket office and in the park. If you’d rather use your own energy, you can let off steam on the large playground with a climbing castle, the huge bouncy cushion, the trampolines, and in Crazy World with its crazy bikes. You can grab a bite in between at the kiosk. In the park, you can pay by Girocard or credit card.
The season runs from mid-March to mid-November, usually daily from 10 AM to 6 PM, and on Sundays and public holidays until 7 PM. Outside holiday periods, the park is closed on certain days from Monday to Wednesday. Check the opening calendar before your visit. Birthday kids up to 18 get free admission with ID, and Tuesdays are Grandparents’ Day with discounted admission for grandparents.

The Place is really good, lots of play options for kids, you just need 2-3hrs to cover everything, it's a tiny place not huge area only drawback what we found was , we had to buy coins for each amd every rides in there and i think it didn't make any sense after paying the entrance tickets as well. I wished if few rides were free for kids since we paid entrance tickets as well. Not much food options available, make sure to carry your food and snacks. A good 2-3hrs play time for kids. Not much crowded even during weekends or a public holiday.
An awesome place to let the kiddies run around and spend some energy. Kids were thoroughly enjoying the rides and play areas. A few spots where kids can enjoy some fairydays and simple animatronics, but these are only in German. Good food.
Expensive. Not sure why you charge parents. We are only there to watch our kids🤣 Maybe put some money back into the park. Clean it up a little bit? My 4 year old loved it.
Had a great time with the kids. Some of it was a little dated, but still provides a great time. Would visit again!
A great place to take the kids to. There is a moderate entrance fee but almost all fun rides cost extra. The fun rides are paid with coins, which can be changed at the entrance or at changing machines. One ride = one coin = 0.50 Euro. Great price compared to Tivoli. Throughout the area there are stands showing fairytales. Unfortunately the audio is German only. Make sure to bring cash. They only accept Girocard (EC Karte) which is a payment system that only exists in Germany. Heidelberg has about 750k tourists every year. Please get a proper system that accepts any kind of card (like German supermarkets, petrol stations etc.)
