The Fairy Tale Park Marquartstein, the fairy tale adventure park in Chiemgau, is located at the foot of the Chiemgau Alps south of Lake Chiemsee and has been delighting families for over 55 years. The concept is simple: a full day of magical family fun for one price, with all attractions included in admission.
In addition to the fairy tale world, a colorful mix provides variety. Summer toboggan run, park railway, Gaudi-Gondel, water play garden, and Hexensteig forest playground are waiting for you. Kids cheer along at the hen racing, snail racing, and pony derby. At the children’s construction yard, there’s digging and shoveling, and the stubborn donkey tests your funny bone. In the petting zoo with wildlife enclosure, you can see animals up close. New since 2026 is the Loren-Flitzer.
The season is open from late March to early November, daily from 9:30 AM to 6 PM with admission until 5 PM; after the time change at the end of October, the park closes at 5 PM. There are special offers for groups including kindergartens, school classes, and people with disabilities, and children’s birthday parties can also be celebrated. First-graders have free admission in September when visiting with family.

Lots of different activities ranging from summer tobbogan, trains, swings, merry go round. Lots of different animals as wel. Amazing place and well worth the money!
Park itself is good for kids but entrance prices for parents are crazy expensive. Me and my husband paid each 18€. To seat there and wait for our kids to be done.
Such a lovely place for kids and even parents can engage themselves with kids.. I felt the ticket price is quite cant justify the fun rides inside.... ofcourse its the good place to experience once.
Our kids had a great time here. Thete's a good range of activities: a large sand pit, water play area, sheep & goats to stroke and feed and among the rides, not everything is powered by electric motors and the like. That means someo physical exercise is possible, such as pedal-powered vehicles. I just wonder why the park can't have a no-smoking policy or at least allow it only in designated areas away from where kids are likely to be.
Entrance price was little high but worth it.we made a lot of good memories with kids. Don't mix up with Märchen-Wald in Wolfratshausen, my kids kept on asking where is speaking tree..
