The Bernburg Fairytale Forest on the Saale in Saxony-Anhalt is a small, family-run day-trip destination. For €3 per person, you step into a fairytale world. Children up to 2 years old get in free. That makes the fairytale garden one of the most affordable fairytale forests in Germany.

Fairytales, mini golf, and a coffee break

Brand new is the mini-golf course, which you can add for a small surcharge. After your walk through the fairytale garden, you can sit together over food and drinks from the on-site catering. Groups of 10 or more pay a reduced admission price of €2 per person.

The season runs from late March to early November. Tuesdays are a rest day; from September to November, Mondays are also closed. On weekends and public holidays, it’s open from 10 AM to 6 PM; on weekdays, depending on the time of year, until 4 PM or 6 PM. According to the website, it’s also open at times in winter. Check the current opening hours before your visit.
