On the shore of the Kriebstein Reservoir, operator Steffen Mäding has created five extraordinary types of accommodation through genuine craftsmanship. From the romantic treehouse at a height of 28 meters, considered the largest treehouse in Germany, to a Mongolian yurt and free-floating Baltic Sea sailboats, as well as barrel treehouses and treehouse tents. Kletterwald Leipzig at Albrechtshainer See offers not only eleven climbing courses across three hectares but also a treehouse at 12 meters high for overnight stays. It provides two sleeping places and a terrace with views of the treetops and the starry sky. Treehouse guests receive a 20 percent discount on all climbing prices and can optionally enjoy breakfast on the treehouse terrace in the morning. Showers and toilets are located a few meters away on the ground.

On the Demeter-certified organic farm Hofgut Kreuma, about 25 kilometers north of Leipzig, a small treehouse perches high above the farm grounds. The minimalist cabin with a double bed, balcony, and electricity connection offers deliberately reduced comfort across 7 square meters, which is more than compensated for by fresh farm bakery rolls in the morning and the rural atmosphere. The bathroom with shower and toilet is located about 40 meters away on the farm. There is also a sauna on the premises.
