Treetop walk in Slovakia

The Bachledka Treetop Walk is located in the heart of the species-rich forests of the Bachled Valley. Get to know the local forests and the unique nature of Spišská Magura. There are many animals and plants in this region that you rarely see elsewhere in Europe. The treetop trail is open daily except during storms or gusty winds. Tickets can only be purchased on site.

The path, which is up to 24 meters high, has a total length of 1234 meters and offers breathtaking views. At various adventure stations on the treetop path, brave visitors can try to balance over wobbly elements at lofty heights.

Several interestingly designed learning stations give you an insight into the local flora and fauna. There are lots of interesting and fun pictures for younger visitors to explore. At the end of the Bachledka treetop walk is the 32-metre-high observation tower, which offers an impressive 360-degree view of the Slovakian lowlands south of the Tatras as well as the Lesser Poland Voivodeship.

To shorten the way back down, adrenaline junkies can experience their own personal sliding pleasure on the 60-metre-long spiral slide. The toboggan spiral is open all year round, even in winter. The last ride is always 1 hour before closing time! It is suitable for adults and children over 120 cm. The entrance fee is €2 and can only be paid at the entrance to the attraction in cash or by credit card.

Parking lots (P1 and P2) with a capacity of 1,000 parking spaces are located directly at the BACHLEDKA Ski & Sun Resort, right next to the Bachledka treetop trail. The parking lot (P3) is located on the left-hand side in the direction of Ždiar. It is a 1 km walk from the parking lot. Parking fee is €5/day/car.

Well worth it, we booked a trip from Zakopane to the Tree Top walk and it was amazing beginning to end. A beautiful scenic drive, then a cable car to the top then onto the tree too walk with spectacular views. Couple of us are scared of heights but we did it all, felt very safe and secure. The views are breath taking as we were blessed with snow and clear blue skies. We stopped at the restaurant at the top for a hot drink then returned back down to the gift shop. We had 3 hours there which was the perfect amount to do it all leisurely. Definitely recommend.

Our holiday was primarily to Poland but when visiting Zakopane we were so close to Slovakia we could justify a day in that country too. The treetop walk was the obvious place to visit not far across the border. We really enjoyed it. No wait for the cablecar and not very busy at the top. The treetop walk was very impressive and I enjoyed the tower at the end. We also took the slide down which was fun. Finished with some traditional Slovakian food from the very friendly staff in the restaurant and then headed back to Poland. Definitely recommended.

Amazing view, beautiful environment. You arrive to the parking zones which is well organised. You can choose to take the cable car uptop to the treewalk or choose 2 routes on the mountain side. One is a gravel road (this one is not so steep but a bit longer) the other is a mountain path in the woods following the cable car lines. Either way, 2km and 300m elevation. You can rest on the way up at some log benches. The path has enough direction signs, you won't get lost. Arriving to the treetop walk you can take a breath at the park which has an astonishing view for the Tatras or have some fun at the playgrounds. Also there is a souvenir shop, caffe and restaurant. All have great selection and fair prices. After purchasing the entry fee you may enjoy the view, the air and the feeling of the place not to mention the cool wooden structures and the 360 view uptop. There is a huge metal pipe slide from the upper floor, so if you want to have a quicker way down, you may purchase a ticket for that (ask if it is operational!) Be aware! No toilet on the walk only after the exit. We took the cable car back to the parking, you can buy a ticket in the souvenir shop (if you didn't buy a return ticket of corse, if you arrive up, with the cable car.) Great experience! I recommend!

What a fantastic experience! The Treetop Walk Bachledka offers breathtaking views of the mountains and forests. It was worth the short wait. The majority of the tourists were skiers, which made the treetop walk even more enjoyable (less crowded).

This treetop walk is really unique and beautiful. The walk is quite short but nice and the views during the walk and also from the top od the walk are spectaculous! The views are really what you are looking for here ⛰ there is also an option to slide down from the top of the walk (for additional price) if you don't want to walk all the way down. Try to come during the week days since on weekend it's quite crowded here. I recommend buying tickets online since they are cheaper that way and also you will skip the long line waiting to buy their tickets at desk. Overall I recommend visiting this place very much!
