Spend the night in the Harz National Park

In the old trees of the 4-star sun resort in Bad Harzburg, on the edge of the Harz National Park, there are 14 individual tree houses in the Ettershaus tree house hotel. The special thing about it: all tree house guests can use the hotel’s 900 square meter wellness area free of charge, with a combined indoor and outdoor pool, steam bath, bio-sauna, Finnish sauna, ice fountain and relaxation room. The tree house experience is therefore combined with full hotel comfort, and the breakfast buffet is also included.

The tree houses are called Elvis, Elvis Junior and Oktagon and each have their own terrace with seating in the middle of the greenery. All houses have a flat-screen TV, minibar, bathroom with shower and WC and heating.

Massages and beauty treatments can be booked directly at the resort. The kitchen team will spoil you with creative Harz cuisine in the à la carte restaurant Tauts and the modern-rustic restaurant Ursprung.

The resort is conveniently located for active vacations in the Harz Mountains: the Burgberg cable car, treetop walk and tree suspension railroad are just a few minutes’ walk away, and the Bad Harzburg Sole-Therme spa is right next to the resort grounds.

Numerous hiking trails start directly from the hotel, for cyclists and mountain bikers there are well-developed routes in the Harz nature, and golfers will find an 18-hole course in Bad Harzburg. Dogs are not allowed in the tree houses.

Elvis & Elvis Junior tree house

The Elvis and Elvis Junior tree houses have 20 to 25 square meters of living space, with the living and sleeping areas combined in one room: a double bed, a sitting area and a flat-screen TV. In addition to the minibar, Elvis has a pad coffee machine, while Elvis Junior has the minibar without the coffee machine.

Octagon tree house

The Oktagon tree house offers 25 square meters with clearly separated rooms: a separate bedroom with double bed and a separate living room with seating and flat-screen TV. A minibar and pad coffee machine are also available.
