The Efteling Fairytale Forest, or Sprookjesbos in Dutch, calls itself the largest living fairytale book and is the heart of the world-renowned theme park in Kaatsheuvel, Noord-Brabant. In this enchanted forest, you wander from fairytale to fairytale, discovering a new story around every bend, from dwarves and princesses to enchanted swans, dancing elves, and the long-necked creature among the trees.

Around 30 Fairytales in the Living Fairytale Book

Around 30 fairytale scenes are set up here: classics like Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel, Rumpelstiltskin, Snow White, Hansel and Gretel, and The Frog Prince. Additionally, there are Andersen fairytales like “The Little Mermaid” and “The Little Match Girl,” as well as original creations such as the talking fairytale tree, the dwarf village, and the troll king. Many scenes move, speak, or surprise with details that will amaze even adults.

The Fairytale Forest is part of Efteling Park, which is open 365 days a year; admission is valid for the entire park and depends on the day of your visit. Children under 4 are free. For food and drinks, there is a wide selection in the park, from snacks to full-service restaurants. Many attractions are wheelchair accessible, some with transfer assistance.
