Fairy Tale Forest Ibbenbüren in the Teutoburg Forest

Description

Experience Fairy Tales in Ibbenbüren

The Fairy Tale Forest Ibbenbüren was founded in 1958 by Erich and Erna Derhake and is one of the oldest fairy tale forests in Germany. The lovingly maintained forest park in the Teutoburg Forest is home to eleven Grimm fairy tales, plus dwarves, fantastic animals, castles, mysterious grottos, and quaint cottages. At the push of a button, the figures come to life.

A Tour Through Eleven Fairy Tales

The tour takes about an hour with children, or considerably longer with an extended break at the colorful adventure playground. There are picnic areas for snacks. You can bring your own food. The Fairy Tale Forest is part of the Ibbenbüren summer toboggan run grounds: there’s no combined admission here—each attraction is paid for separately. In addition to the Fairy Tale Forest, there’s the summer toboggan run (€1 per ride), Journey Around the World, and the Dwarf Racer.

Open from April to early November, on full operation days from 10:30 AM to 6 PM, on reduced days from 2 PM; admission to the Fairy Tale Forest is possible until 5:15 PM. Operations are weather-dependent, so check the opening calendar beforehand. Payment is preferably by card. Group rates and quiz and rally materials are available for school classes, kindergartens, and children’s birthday parties.

Definitely a great experience for kids as there is a lot to do. For adults there are a couple things like the famous Rodelbahn that I can 100% recommend! It really only cost €1 to ride and trust me you may want to just buy the option for 10 rides. The trip around the world is also quite nice but quite short.

This is a magic place to visit. Very old park and you will notice this in the setup ( in a good way! ).The park has no entry fee, but will charge per ride. They have very fair prices for this.Would definitely suggest this place for visitors in the area

Great fun for kids, the Sommerrodelbahn is a downhill wooden sleigh run, also with other kid rides like a train and coin operated electric scooters. The Fairy Tale Forest has an animatronic display for lots of kids fairy tales like Snow White, Little Red Riding Hood, etc. Also a cafe and a couple playgrounds.

This is a very nice place in the forest...I really enjoy it like a kind... It is perfect to spend the day there . I couldn't enter to the private part of the park, because it was too late...but I will come back
