The Kopfing Treetop Path in the Innviertel

The Kopfing Treetop Path is located in the heart of the Innviertel region, not far from Passau, and has been in operation for over 20 years. The highlight is, quite literally, the top of the Forest Discovery Tower. From up there, you can look out over the border triangle of Austria, Germany, and the Czech Republic, and on a clear day, you can even see as far as the Alps. As a day visitor, free parking is available for you at the main entrance.

Through the treetops above, across the forest floor below

The path includes the Forest Floor Trail, where you can discover animals that usually stay well hidden. Children can let off steam at the 5,000-square-meter adventure playground, and the 50-meter-long “Waldflitzer” slide brings them back down in no time.

Climbing, archery, and solving puzzles

In the high ropes course, you’ll cross shaky bridges, floating beams, and airy platforms. Precision and a steady hand are what count at the 3D archery course in the middle of the forest. And in the three escape games in the Forest Discovery Tower, you have 60 minutes to crack all the puzzles. You can book these activities in advance by phone.

In the Waldküche Restaurant, the team cooks with regional and seasonal ingredients, many of which are gathered from the surrounding area. Next door is the Treehouse Hotel, where you can spend the night right in the forest. Parking at the main entrance, the Treehouse Hotel, and the restaurant is free. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the Götzendorf bus stop. During Advent, the grounds are transformed into the Forest Christmas market.
