Treetop walk in the Krkonoše Mountains

The Krkonoše treetop walk is located in the heart of the forests of the Krkonoše National Park. It shows what makes the nature of the Czech Republic’s highest mountain range with its subalpine character unique. Get to know the beautiful forests here literally from the roots to the treetops. The view from a height of 45 m is unique! You will become part of the forest life and get to know many animals and plants that you won’t find anywhere else.

The paths lead through the different levels of the forest without steps and are therefore accessible. This way you can get to know the forests of the Krkonoše Mountains from the roots to the crowns. There are three exciting adventure stations on the way up, which are suitable for young and old children alike.

In the cave under the observation tower, you can get to know everything that goes on in the forest below the surface. Majestic roots and tiny creatures are waiting to be discovered. The interactive exhibition imparts knowledge about the forest ecosystem in a fun way.

Those who are more into action can plunge down an 80 m long tunnel slide from the top of the observation tower and experience a unique adrenaline rush. For younger visitors, there is an adventure playground right next to the Krkonoše treetop walk.

There are many other interesting excursion options around the treetop walk:

  • Ride on the “Černohorský Express” cable car to the summit of Černá Hora
  • A hike through the Černohorská Moor to Pec pod Sněžkou
  • Wellness in the world-famous spa town of Janské Lázně

Nice experience. This outlook has many pros - like for example no stairs so you can go upstair with stroler or maybe handicaped people. There is a lot of information about local nature, forest and information of this building. View is stunning. A lot of fun for the kids - metal tube slide ( from the top to the bottom) and net jungle gym. At the end you can find building with souvenir shop, dining room and toilets.

It was a great experience, the more fun part is they also have netted cage where you get in and enjoy, felt like kid again. The ramp is not so step so easy to access with stroller as well.Pros: - Stroller and wheelchair can be taken up easily. - Lot of fun and play items along the way. - Amazing view point. May be during snowfall would be even beautiful.Cons: - no washroom inside you’ve to come out and exit.

Beautiful place with great views for a good price. We visited during winter, and while some parts were slippery, the slide and other sections (such as the glass floor) are closed during the winter season for safety reasons. Overall, it’s a very fun place for both kids and adults. It is worth mentioning that the maximum incline is only 6%, making it wheelchair accessible. It is truly a place for everyone.

While initially skeptical of the price, the attraction turned out to be a fair bit more than just going up a wooden tower. There's a little walk which contains a fun few little challenges. The walk features a lot of little facts and information throughout, with the base of the tower acting as a mini museum about soil and tree biodiversity and whatnot. The gift shop was actually quite alright, better than the conventional one at least. The slide is sold separately from the entry, but it isn't too much. A fun little thing, definitely if with family.

Beautiful and very unique place!! There is short trial that guides you through with some educational facts in how they build it. The tower is VERY impressive and has a trampoline and a long slide in it. The restaurant and the playground is super cute as well!
