Tree house in Worpswede

In the middle of Teufelsmoor, south of the artists’ village of Worpswede, lies the tree house hotel Land of Green: a small nature resort that combines comfort and a forest feel in a special way. The three tree houses “Otto”, “Hermine” and “Clara” protrude up to seven meters into the old spruce and oak trees and offer you an idyllic retreat right on the edge of the nature reserve. The names of the houses are no coincidence: they bear the names of important painters from the Worpswede artists’ colony that once made this moorland famous.

Each tree house offers around 27 square meters of living space on two levels, plus 20 square meters of outdoor space. On the first floor, you will find a cozy double bed area, a living area with corner sofa and wood-burning stove as well as a fully equipped bathroom with shower. The kitchen is equipped with an induction hob, dishwasher, fridge, coffee machine and all the necessary accessories. An internal staircase leads to the upper sleeping area with a great view of the greenery. Large lattice windows let in plenty of light and provide a view of the forest.

The special highlight is the 15 square meter roof terrace with outdoor bathtub. In summer, you can relax up there under the open sky, while in winter the wood-burning stove downstairs warms you up. A five-square-metre terrace on the first level offers a beautiful view of the protected landscape.

If you want to experience even more after the tree house day, you can book the wood-heated hot tub or the sauna barrel directly on the premises. In summer, you can paddle a canoe from our own harbor into the Hamme. The barista is waiting for you in the harbor café and there are coffee specialties de luxe, delicious cakes and some warm, home-cooked dishes. The “Otto” tree house is dog-friendly and the other two houses are pet-free.
