The fascinating world of treetops

The Waldkirch treetop walk takes you into the fascinating world of the treetops of the Black Forest. Observe the flora and fauna of the species-rich treetops up close and enjoy breathtaking views of the Rhine Valley with the Kaiserstuhl and the Vosges mountains. The Waldkirch treetop walk is 200 m long and is located in the Waldkirch Nature Discovery Park. There you will also find the Stadtrainsee lake and the Black Forest Zoo. A visit to the Waldkirch treetop walk can therefore be easily combined into an all-day excursion for the whole family.

There is also a 190 m long barefoot trail in the immediate vicinity of the Waldkirch treetop walk. Walk without shoes and socks over pine cones, wood, stones and moss and experience new sensory impressions.

Right next door, the 220m-long adventure trail with suspension bridges, climbing nets and wobbly bridges offers a challenge for your sense of balance and agility.

Brave adventurers aged 8 and over can use the longest tube slide in Europe (190 m long) for part of the way back (price: €2). The Bambini adventure trail is relatively new. A safe, playful adventure trail especially for little explorers aged 3 to 6!

Stay away if you have young toddlers or a stroller. You’ll need to climb a very long, steep road up the hill to get there.

It is a beautiful place. You have to walk up the mountain. There are several stations for children. If you want to reach the top you have to pay an entrance fee. Once at the top you have a panoramic view. No need to walk down the path! you can pay 2€ and get a carpet. This carpet makes you slide down a long slide and it's a lot of fun (i yelled extra loud to scare the woman behind me) haha

Great place to take a walk. You need to park near the small zoo and then you have to climb for something between 30 min to 1 hour (200m climb) The trail is comfortable to walk with strollers. When you arrived to the top you are required to pay to go into the park. Inside you have the view point which is amazing, and a trail with bridges for the adventure seekers (4 year old can do it easily). And a trail to walk barefoot to fill different ground types. I can highly recommend this

Lovely place. It's hard to climb up the hill but you can rest a few times on the way.
