A few meters above the ground, in the middle of the treetops, at an altitude of almost 1,000 meters in the Allgäu: the Baumhaushotel Allgäu in Missen-Wilhams offers accommodation that consistently focuses on the essentials. Operator Aron Holterman ten Hove, a former professional snowboarder, has built five compact wooden chalets in a tiny-house style together with his wife Alica and an architectural firm of friends, which blend harmoniously into the terrain by the torrent. The continuous glass front on the south side allows you to experience the Allgäu nature from the living room without having to compromise on comfort.

Each of the five tree chalets offers you around 50 m² of living space on two floors, complemented by a 45 m² sun terrace with a private garden and direct access to the torrent. Facilities include a private outdoor jacuzzi with massage function, a Finnish sauna with panoramic window, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, oven and tea/coffee bar as well as a separate bathroom with rain shower and underfloor heating. A special highlight is the hammock integrated into the floor directly by the panoramic window.

In the sleeping area, you will spend the night on beds made from local Swiss stone pine, which ensure a healthy indoor climate. For technology enthusiasts and digital detox fans alike: Wi-Fi, tablet with Netflix and Disney+ as well as e-car and e-bike charging stations are available. E-mountain bikes can be rented on site.

The location directly on the Thaler Höhe family ski area makes the Baumchalets a ski-in ski-out domicile for winter vacationers. In summer, hiking trails lead on foot to various managed alpine pastures, and bike trails start right on the premises. A nature trail through the Tuffenmoos moor is also in the immediate vicinity. On request, a local traditional baker will deliver a breakfast basket with regional products directly to your door every morning. Dogs are welcome in four of the five chalets. The Allgäu Walser Card is included for guests.
