Unique climbing experience in Chemnitz

The Chemnitz-Rabenstein climbing forest offers all adventurous climbers an individual challenge on a total of 12 different courses. The total route is more than 1,500 m long and is equipped with 121 climbing elements that reach heights of up to 20 m. Whether snowboarding under the treetops, feeling like Tarzan on a liana, climbing in a spider’s web or flying through the forest on zip lines, everything is possible in the Rabenstein climbing forest. Before the individual fun on the various courses, the climbing forest team will instruct you in safety techniques. Anyone who feels physically and mentally fit and is at least 120 cm tall may climb. The maximum weight must not exceed 120 kg. We recommend sturdy shoes and comfortable, hard-wearing clothing. Please tie up long hair.

The Chemnitz-Rabenstein climbing forest is open from March to November 2025 at different times depending on the weather. Please check the current opening hours on the website provided. The parking spaces in front of the Rabenstein reservoir (chargeable 3€) can be used. Dogs can be brought onto the premises on a lead.
