In the heart of the beautiful Kandeler Bienwald forest in the Southern Palatinate, the region’s largest climbing park awaits you: Kletterpark Kandel. Spread across around 7 hectares, more than 200 trees are linked by about 17,000 meters of steel cable to form 23 exciting high ropes courses. Since opening in 2006, you’ve been climbing from tree to tree here—whether you’re visiting as a family, with friends, with your company, or with a club. Kandel is conveniently located on the A65 between Landau and Karlsruhe. From Kandel train station, it’s only about a 15-minute walk.
There’s something for every age and ability. The youngest adventurers can start from age 3 on four low kids’ courses, with an adult accompanying them from the ground. From age 7 and with a reach height of 1.60 m, you can take on the many practice and standard courses, ranging from easy white and green routes to challenging sections. If you want even more, try the pro courses—such as the black course or the legendary Tarzan swing—and, to top it all off, take the Quickjump “Freefall” from up to 22 meters down into the depths.
You can refuel at the on-site food and drink area with snacks and beverages, and you’re welcome to eat your own food on the sun terrace. There’s plenty of parking right on site, with additional overflow parking at the Bienwaldhalle. Your four-legged friends are also welcome on a leash. Please remember: climbing is only allowed with sturdy, closed-toe shoes! The maximum permitted weight is 120 kg, and there are no lockers on site—so it’s best to leave at home anything you don’t really need. As climbing is only possible with advance booking, it’s best to secure your tickets in advance in the online shop.

Great place for activities with and without children for all ages. They have 15 different stations and we had only 4 hours abd we could only finish 4 average to hard stations with an 11 year old. The stations 13 was the most difficult one for us and we couldnt go to station 15. Staffs are pretty friendly and very knowledgeable and helpful too.
Was a fun outing for the kids. Also something for older children and adults! Was a fun day out !
One must visit who likes to do adventures with safety and it's the most fun with friends. Note that the adventure park is only open on friday, saturday and sunday! It is easily accessible with public transport and 15mins walk to the entrance of adventure park.Entry fees is 24€ and it's totally worth the price.
The place is awesome, well organised and very helpful staff. Help available for setup and proper instruction sessions are provided in groups at the beginning. Help is also available if you get stuck on any of the activities too. You have 4 hours to enjoy and I got tired much sooner than my kid so some sort of quick snack at the restaurant is possible. Get some bug spray, there were mosquitoes in the woods and it is normal. Also plenty of parking space. Choose a time that is not so crowded to avoid waiting in line a lot.
This is an absolute fun place for all age group. We had 3 hour window, which seemed too much in the beginning but was definitely worth it by the end. The obstacle courses are real fun, and achievable. Courses can be done based on ones fitness level. Would surely recommend.
