Right in the middle of the Mainau Forest on Lake Constance near Konstanz, Erlebniswald Mainau awaits you—an authentic adventure for the whole family. Across 9 varied courses, you climb through the treetops at heights of 3 to 16 meters, from a relaxed family course to a sporty challenge. Good to know: the high ropes course isn’t on Flower Island Mainau itself, but opposite in the nearby Mainau Forest. So you don’t have to pay island admission. From the parking lot, it’s about a 15-minute walk right into nature.
At Erlebniswald Mainau, there’s something for everyone. Four family courses at around 5 meters, a treehouse course at 8 meters, and finally the youth and sports courses up to 16 meters high offer climbing fun at every difficulty level. After a safety briefing, you climb independently within your 2.5-hour time slot and choose the order yourself. The minimum requirement is 6 years of age and 110 cm in height; the treehouse course is approved from 130 cm, and the sports courses from 150 cm.
Erlebniswald is more than just a high ropes course: here you can try archery and axe throwing, take part in team training for groups and companies, or wind down in the historic St. Katharina beer garden with BBQ. For the youngest nature lovers, there’s a wooden marble run and swings in the adjacent beer garden. It’s best to book your tickets online in advance. Safety briefings start every 30 minutes. For groups of 15 or more, Erlebniswald can also open outside regular hours on request.

Visited with two teen children and had a great time, big climbing forrest with friendly staff, good equipment and a lot of climbing possibilities, also the forrest was very cool (we had very hot weather). We recommend parking at the university North parking place which is a more relaxing walk in which you also pass the restaurant / beergarden which is a very nice place in itself. Children need to be at least 130 cm in lenght. Please note that the beergarden is only open for food on fridays and in the weekend. Please also note that you have to walk at least 20 minutes to reach the place, regardless of were you park, but worth the effort for an active day.
Actually no chance to visit a tree park if you come alone. They insisted that I cannot go alone for some reasons but at the same time they couldn't provide me an instructor or anybody to come with me, i.e. didn't resolve that their 'problem'.
Very nice and relaxed place in the forest to rest after a walk. food was good and cheap, and the beer was delicious. very polite and nice service.
Super calm and relaxed place at the middle of the forest. Nice beers and foods. Spent there half a day and chilling.
Best kebab place in town! Not the usual döner taste. Really pretty and cozy
