The Seemühle tree house hotel offers you a special place to relax and unwind all year round. The tree houses are grouped around a 400-year-old mill between oak and beech trees. In the ten comfortable tree houses made of natural wood with names such as Lodge, Cottage, Chalet or Stadl, two to four adults can experience extraordinary nights together. Those who prefer to stay on the ground can also spend the night in a shepherd’s wagon right by the water.
All tree houses are individually furnished to a high standard and have a shower room with WC, heating and WiFi. Some of the accommodations offer an unobstructed view of the treetops and the starry sky from the bed. Only environmentally friendly materials were used in the construction. When you enter the cottage, you will immediately notice the scent of larch and Swiss stone pine wood.
In the mill house you can enjoy a delicious breakfast directly in the tree house. It is brought to you every morning. Lunch or dinner are not offered. You can order a delicious snack at reception until 11:00 a.m., which will be provided for you in the fridge at the wash house. There are restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
The Baumhaushotel Seemühle is aimed exclusively at adults looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. On the grounds you will find a natural lake and a shepherd’s hut sauna, which make for an unforgettable experience. Numerous wild animals such as dormice, deer, hares, tawny owls and woodpeckers inhabit the forest grounds.
Beautiful hiking and cycling trails through the Spessart start directly from the tree house hotel, for example to the Trettstein waterfall just 500 meters away or into the surrounding valleys of the Franconian Saale and Schondra rivers. Less than 500 meters from the tree house you can canoe on the Saale or go fishing there. Boats can be hired not far away, including a shuttle service.
Electricity is generated by the farm’s own hydropower – the Waizenbach water wheel, which weighs around two tons, generates up to 6 kW and can cover the annual needs of 5 to 15 private households. Most of the industrial water supply comes from the company’s own spring, and the forest around the site is largely natural and protected.

It is a very different experience to stay in a tree house. The tree house was comfortable and warm . The bed was comfortable and very interesting as it was hung from the ceiling. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious hot coffee boiled eggs the lot. Gluten-free options are also available. The sauna was alright, nothing special, but very functional with shower and toilet. What a little disappointing was the swim pond. The water surface was not very clean, but it might have been just the time of year. The late check-in worked well, as did the meat and cheese plate that we ordered was all there .
Such a lovely place to stay! We went for a week which in hindsight was a couple days too long. The whole experience was amazing with the view high up the side of the mountain and nature all around. The hotel features even a sauna and hottub. Perfect for the full relaxation. We visited many towns and villages and did some nice hiking trails. Nearby the hotel is a little waterfall which you'll easely reach with a short walk. Regarding the treehouses they are small offcourse but with all the comfort you'll need. There is no cooking options so be ready to dine out or order a nice plate with meat/cheeses bread etc. for a nice picknick high in the trees
We stay there in the spring. The Breakfast, the location and the people were amazing. The nature was amazing.
We had a great time at this peaceful place. Especially getting a little more information about the place from the owner made the stay even more exciting.
Perfect
